So it's been a week since I came back from the youth retreat and I haven't finished telling you guys about it so now I will. Session three was "I'm so thirsty and weak." Here brad taked about Cora (one of the writers of the Psalms) how he wrote these Psalms because he was thirsty for God (Psalm 84, 42:1,2a) because he worked in the temple but could never go into the holy of holys he was always just on the other side of the curtain. Brad said in Psalm 42:7 Cora comes to God but he dosen't quite get it, he is swimming in God and saying he's so thirsty. Brad siad we are just like Cora we are swimming in God but we want god to fill us. We don't need to feel this way though Jesus makes a promise to us
1)John 7:37-39 - jesus is the source inside of us, within our hollow places
2) John 4:14
3) " then Jesus declared," I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungrey and he who believes in me will never be thirsty..."
So God is a spring within us why would we have to be thirsty for him. On this day I finally let God be that sping within me. I went to the river where he was waiting for me and to tell you the truth it cool because I can honestly say I haven't been thirsty since.
Session four was basicaly a wrap up of whole weekend and at the end then the people that wanted to could take a nail the reprsent what Jesus had done for us . I have that nail in my bible now and it is definatley a good reminder.
